Currumbin is the home of the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary with its feeding of the rainbow lorrikeets that swoop in from the surrounding bushland at feeding times. This attraction has grown from a simple bird sanctuary to a large wildlife reserve with an assortment of various tourist attractions.

Elephant Rock, Flat Rock and Currumbin Rock are formations that flank the beach at Currumbin and make a distinctive landscape for this pristine beach area. The gentle swells and low surf make this a great destination for families with small children.

The accommodation in Currumbin is subject to building height limits and as a consequence, most of the accommodation consists of self contained apartments in low rise properties. The accommodation is located in a narrow coastal strip with many properties offering an absolute beachfront location, and the remainder are never more that a few metres from the beach.
